Boxing sessions are launched to improve youngsters' fitness, This is Derbyshire

BOXING sessions to improve fitness and build confidence are being launched in Melbourne.

Youngsters aged eight and over can join in the Ozbox group from Saturday.

The sessions will initially run for four weeks but if they prove to be popular they could be run for longer.

People wanting to take part can go along to Athenaeum, in Potter Street.

They run from 6pm to 7pm.

Toni Jantschenko, village games co-ordinator for South Derbyshire, said: "These classes are a great way to improve fitness, meet new friends and try something different.

"The Ozbox sessions are completely free so we encourage young people to come along to these fun classes and find out what they're all about."

The sessions are being run in partnership with Athenaeum, the Village Games project and Safer South Derbyshire Partnership.
