Erewash 5k entries open
Saturday May 11th at West Park Leisure, Long Eaton, NG10 4AA
This year's Erewash Jog Derbyshire 5k will be a little different! As well as the 5k, the Community Sports Trust Village Games team will be hosting fun activities for children, and a 1k fun event will take place at 10.45am. There will be a chip timed 5k starting at 9.30am with medals for all finishers (both 5k & 1k). Entry for the 5k run is £3 (free for Jog Leaders).
Whether running your first race, for a medal, for charity, or just for fun, come and join us at West Park on May the 11th.
Erewash 2012 5k Winners - men's top 3 finishers: Carl Hughes (3rd), Russell Parkin (1st), Gary Cooper (2nd) & leading ladies: Rose Leivers (2nd), Dawn Blatherwick (1st), Karen Rhodes (3rd).
What do you need to do? For an entry form, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or you can click here to enter online.
This year there will be a team prize for the first team of four past the post. If you'd like to enter as a team, then e-mail Natalie the names of your team members. Four jog group members per team. Each jog group can enter as many teams as they'd like.
Jog Derbyshire Co-ordinator Natalie Trethewey said last year's event, organised by Jog Derbyshire and Erewash Borough Council, had been a big success with 78 runners: “This sort of event is what Jog Derbyshire is all about. The flat, even course in beautiful parkland makes it a great choice for a first 5k. It's a chance to run in a friendly, non-competitive environment and benefit from the support and encouragement of other joggers." (Read more about last year's event)
See you there! Natalie and Michelle.
