Derbyshire Village Games

Getting you active, where you live, by raising the heartbeat of your community

Prime Minister David Cameron awarded Derbyshire Village Games the Big Society Award in 2013 stating:

I’m delighted to give the Derbyshire Village Games project a well-deserved Big Society Award for their tireless work in boosting participation sport in their local area.

In its sixth year, Derbyshire Village Games engages over 6,000 people each year in regular sport and physical activity across the county for fun, fitness and friendship.

Funded and guided by a partnership of 8 District Authorities, Derbyshire County Council and Sport England, the success of the project is widely documented.
