Derbyshire Village Games
Derbyshire Village Games engaged more than 6,000 people a year in regular sport and physical activity across the county for fun, fitness and friendship.
It was funded and guided by a partnership of eight district authorities, Derbyshire
County Council and Sport England until 2017.
Prime Minister David Cameron awarded Derbyshire Village Games the Big Society Award in 2013. He said: "I’m delighted to give the Derbyshire Village Games project a well-deserved Big Society Award for their tireless work in boosting participation sport in their local area."
